HD 82943,即长蛇座164 G.(164 G. Hydrae) ,是一颗距离地球约89光年的黄矮星,位于长蛇座。该恒星旁已确认有两颗系外行星存在[5][4],并且有说法认为另有其他行星已被该恒星吞噬[6]。HD 82943的质量大约是太阳的1.15倍[7]

行星系统

该系统的第一颗行星 HD 82943 b 于2000年由米歇尔·麦耶带领的一组天文学家宣布发现[8]。该行星和母恒星距离是1.19天文单位,公转周期约441日。接近一年后同样一组科学家宣布发现第二颗行星 HD 82943 c。第二颗行星与母恒星的距离较第一颗近,为0.746天文单位,轨道周期219日[7]。这两颗行星有比例2:1的轨道共振[7]

2001年宣布 HD 82943 有含量异常高的锂-6同位素。恒星在一般状况下并不会有这种锂同位素,但是行星的温度不可能到达使锂-6产生核反应的温度,因此在行星中这种同位素是可以存在的[6]。而最简单的解释就是至少有一颗行星或行星物质被恒星吞噬,这种情况在经过了恒星早期演化阶段后有时会发生。
