Hawker Hurricane R4118 arrives at the 2014 Royal International Air Tattoo, RAF Fairford, Gloucestershire, England.. This aircraft fought in the Battle of Britain in WW2, flying 49 sorties with 605 (County of Warwick) Squadron and shooting down five enemy aircraft. It later saw combat with 111 Squadron before taking up training duties. The airframe was found in India, and brought to the UK in 2001 by its current owner Peter Vacher. It was restored and flew again at Christmas 2004. Peter Vacher keeps it at a farm strip near North Moreton, Oxfordshire, England.
