Bouncing bomb principle as used by the Dambusters during WWII. The bomb (called Upkeep) was designed to be dropped at 60 feet approximately 1/3 of a mile from the dam. the bomb would strike the wall of the dam and due to the 500 rpm backspin imparted on it roll down the wall and detonate at 30 feet. The GIF incorrectly shows the bomb sinking near to the dam.
