索尼α550是索尼于2009年8月28日发表的高性能入门级数码单反相机。与索尼α500为姊妹机，但差别在于索尼α500的有效像素较低，3吋LCD像素为230、400点，没有高速模式的7FPS。
索尼α550使用Exmor CMOS，据媒体网站所示，在高ISO 3200下表现出色，开始追及佳能还有尼康高ISO表现，一改以往索尼低光高ISO较差的表现。
香港索尼官方在8月28日的发表会上表明会连同平价全片幅索尼α850，还有其姊妹机索尼α500一起在同年九月开始发售。
