2009年苏门达辣地震，于2009年9月30日17时16分10秒，[4]印尼苏门答腊地区发生的一次7.6级[4]地震，震央位于印尼西苏门答腊省首府巴东西北偏西45公里，佩坎巴鲁西南220公里。印尼首都雅加达和邻近国家马来西亚、新加坡均可感受到地震。[5]
2009年10月1日08时52分29秒，苏门答腊岛中部的占碑省再发生一次震级为6.6的地震，震央位于Sungaipenuh东南46公里，震源深度大约15公里。[6][7]
目前已发现超过1100人在是次地震中遇难。由于可能有上千民众被埋在坍塌的建筑物下未发现，因此总伤亡人数未定。[8]
