黄水蚺（学名：Eunectes notaeus），又称黄森蚺，是蛇亚目蚺科蚺亚科水蚺属下的一种无毒蚺蛇，主要分布于南美洲，目前未有任何亚种被确认。[2]
特征
[编辑]成年的黄水蚺不及绿水蚺（Eunectes murinus）般壮大，仅有3到4米，雌蛇一般比雄蛇巨型。[3]牠们的体色以黄色、浅金色或青黄色为基调，配合起伏有致的连串黑色圆纹及斑点。[3]
地理分布
[编辑]黄水蚺主要分布于南美洲，包括玻利维亚东部、巴西南部、巴拉圭与及阿根廷东北部。标准产地为“巴拉圭河流域”。[1]
习性
[编辑]黄水蚺多栖息于接近水源的地域或湿地，牠们主要进食麋鹿、野猪、鸟类或较大型的啮齿目动物，也会进食水中的生物，如各种鱼类。事实上，黄水蚺更常在水中捕食，这是因为黄水蚺身体笨重，2米长已有25至30公斤重并可杀死大型犬只，若成长到最大的4米长就可以有一个成年男性的体重，所以在陆地上移动并不灵活，相反牠们擅长于水中游动，捕食速度及效率亦较为理想。
