雪蝎蛉科（Boreidae），俗称雪蝎蛉、雪蚤，是长翅目的昆虫。该科仅包含30个物种，全都分布在北半球的极地或高海拔地区。2008年的DNA及蛋白质分析，发现该科的演化支与蚤目的亲缘关系较接近，反而与双翅目或长翅目其他成员的亲缘相对遥远。[1]
特征
雪蝎蛉是小型昆虫，体长约6毫米或更小。他们没有飞行能力，雄性的翅膀退化为钩状，雌性的翅膀则蜕化为鳞片状，但可以利用修长的中足与后足进行跳跃移动。[2]牠们在冬季最为活跃，幼虫以苔藓为食，成虫会在雪地上活动。雄性在交配时会用钩状的翅膀紧抓雌性。透过吸收辐射热，牠们能在寒冷的雪地中保持体温，减缓热量流失。[3]
