陈望曾所写的〈保安宫重修碑记〉

陈望曾（1853年—1929年），字省三，号鲁邨[1]。祖籍福建漳浦，台湾台南人，清代官员[1]。

生平

陈望曾的祖先曾于台湾宜兰做生意，之后迁居台南。年少时在府试中名列前茅，16岁即入泮。同治九年（1870年）以18岁之龄中举，同治十三年（1874年）考中进士，授内阁中书，后担任广东韶州、雷州府知府。清朝割让台湾后，携带家眷内渡。光绪二十五年（1899年）担任广州府知府，进而接任提调广东海防兼善后总局，管理全广东军需。光绪三十四年（1908年）担任广东劝业道，任内曾创建敏土（水泥）工厂；办理电力、自来水公司；设立农业试验场、工艺工厂、蚕业学校；提倡开辟北江煤矿，贡献地方。之后调任广东按察使、提学使等职，赏头品顶戴，三代一品封典。其在国民革命爆发时秘密资助国民党，辛亥革命过后隐居香港，1929年逝世，享年77岁[1][2]。
