阿尔戈号 (探测器)

阿尔戈号(Argo)是美国一项已取消的外行星探测计划,原本预计在2019年发射升空。

任务

探测器原本计划在2019年发射升空,2020年飞越木星,2022年飞越土星,最终在2028年飞越海王星海卫一。离开海王星后,它还能够利用海王星的引力助推探测大量库伯带星体。它也可以经由海王星的重力助推飞往阋神星,如果当时船上的仪器仍能运作,将能首次探测到阋神星,并计划在2044年左右到达。

科学仪器

阿尔戈号所携带的科学仪器包括:

  • 高分辨率摄像机(拍摄行星大气活动景象、拍摄卫星的表面)
  • 近红外线分光仪(获取行星的近红外线光谱)
  • 紫外线光谱仪(拍摄行星极光的照片)
  • 热量成像仪(制作行星与卫星的热量分布图)
  • 粒子分光仪(确认等离子体的通量)
  • 磁强计(研究行星的磁场、确认卫星是否有内在磁场)
  • 无线电科学(获得行星的引力场数据、卫星的惯性矩数据)

任务的取消

在2015年的一篇文章中,阿尔戈号已被取消,因为美国没有足够的来发动其发电机[1]
