镍黄铁矿是一种由铁和镍构成的硫化物，分子式为(Fe,Ni)9S8，其中铁和镍的含量接近1:1，除此之外，它也含有微量的钴。镍黄铁矿的比重介于4.6 到5.0，而硬度再3.5和 4之间，是首先由爱尔兰科学家J·彭特蓝德(1797-1873)发现。
