金星9A号也称为宇宙482号，因为从1963年起，苏联对在低地球轨道的人造卫星赋予宇宙的称号[1]。由于末端节未能成功将金星2E号推向金星，仍然滞留于低地球轨道。其中些碎片掉落至新西兰。
