野狗子[1]是在《聊斋志异·第一卷·野狗》里提到的妖怪，兽首人身和会吸死人的脑[2]。

于七之乱[3]后，遍地死尸，故事主角李化龙到深山避乱遇到官兵正在前进。怕被官兵抓住处死，便和无数死尸混在一起装死。不久，一只人身兽首的怪物到尸体上啃食脑袋，并吮吸脑浆。李化龙拿石头将怪物的嘴打碎，怪物逃跑，路上流了不少血。在这些血里面，找到两颗怪物牙齿，长约四寸，中间微弯，一头十分尖利。
