配合物结构

配合物结构是指其原子分子错合物中,配位基与原子配体几何型态。配位基的几何型态排列会因配位基之数目及其与中心原子键结之型式而改变。金属中心的氧化状态也会改变其配位倾向。金属中心所配位之配位基数目可从二个至十五个之多。

八面体结构是一个常见的配位几何结构,六个配位基以对称分布配位在金属上,如果将各配位基以直线相连,就形成一八面体的形状。其他常见的配位几何例子,如四面体结构及平面四边形结构。

晶体场理论可被用来解释化合物之不同配位结构的相对稳定性及其是否具有顺磁特性。
