赤道原则
赤道原则（英语：Equator Principles，EPs），是一套由金融机构采用以控管风险的框架，用以决定、评估、管理一项专案融资的社会与环境风险。
该原则旨在提供尽责调查的最低标准，与确保负责任的决策。
历史
2003年6月，基于国际金融公司建立的既存规范上，赤道原则成形。
2006年7月，经修订的第二版赤道原则发布。[1]2013年6月4日，第三版赤道原则发布。[2]2020年7月，第四版赤道原则发布。[3]
赤道原则，针对全球范围内各行业，与四项金融产品：
- 项目融资的咨询服务
- 项目融资
- 相关项目的企业贷款
- 过渡性贷款。
原则适用的范围与标准等相关细节，可见于赤道原则的“范围”一节。
赤道原则，极大地提高了重视各地社会及社群的标准和责任，包含针对原住民、劳工及与受影响当地社群协商的强健原则。多边开发银行，包括欧洲复兴开发银行、基于OECD的出口信用保险机构等借鉴赤道原则，建立相似的标准。
成员与报告
2021年3月为止，37个国家中的116家金融机构已正式采纳赤道原则，覆盖新兴市场与已开发市场等国际市场上绝大多数的融资项目。[4]

批评
针对赤道原则的一项批评是，原则未造成什么改变。2004年的巴库-第比利斯-杰伊汉管线案中，该管线由八家遵守赤道原则的银行和国际金融公司（IFC）共同出资。然而，一非政府组织（NGO）评估该计划，却发现127处瑕疵。另一方面，银行和国际金融公司表示有遵守赤道原则，而一位独立顾问证实此点。[5][6][7]
2016年北达科他州反对输油管道事件中，投资者知道融资给北达科他州输油管道的17银行中，有13家签署了赤道原则。然而，若输油管道发生意外漏油，而污染了密苏里河与欧阿希湖，融资仍会继续。[8][9][10]
