谢拉峰
谢拉峰是一条大约500英里（800公里）长之大致从北到南的山脊，划分了内华达山脉宽阔的西坡和狭窄的东坡，并向东延伸到山脉的断崖。北部和中部的山脉顶峰部分与超过300英里（480公里）的大盆地分水岭重合，[1]南部的顶峰划分了图莱里县和因约县，并延伸穿过克恩县，与特哈查皮顶峰汇合。
西奥多·所罗门斯首次尝试绘制沿山脉的山顶路线。[2]他在设想、探索和建立约翰·缪尔步道路线方面发挥了重要作用，这条路线从优胜美地山谷沿着内华达山脉的山顶到达惠特尼峰。
