西北航空253号班机事故，又称达美航空253号班机事故，于2009年12月25日从荷兰阿姆斯特丹飞往美国底特律途中被一位怀疑是卡伊达成员的乘客引爆身上爆炸物（季戊四醇四硝酸酯）企图炸毁，但爆炸威力不大，该名男子被机上其他人制服，客机安全降落。
