赫希在《德士》的演出而赢得两座黄金时段艾美奖喜剧类最佳男主角；因《亲爱的约翰》赢得金球奖音乐及喜剧类剧集最佳男主角。他凭借《哀乐人生》和《法贝尔曼》提名奥斯卡最佳男配角奖，成为史上奥斯卡同奖项提名最长的间距[1]。
早期生活
贾德·赫希生于纽约州纽约市布朗克斯区，是莎莉（Sally，娘家姓基齐斯）和电工乔瑟夫·西德尼·赫希（Joseph Sidney Hirsch）的儿子[2]。乔瑟夫出生在纽约，父亲是德国犹太人本杰明·赫希（Benjamin Hirsch），母亲是英格兰人罗莎·赫希·本杰明（Rosa Hirsch Benjamin），一家子都是荷兰犹太人[3][4][5]。莎莉·赫希出生在俄罗斯的一个犹太家庭[6]。贾德·赫希有一个名为罗兰（Roland）的兄弟[7]。
