装甲龙属（学名：Hoplitosaurus）是甲龙类恐龙的一属，是多刺甲龙的近亲。化石是一个部分骨骼，发现于美国南达科他州卡斯特县的拉科塔组，可能属于下白垩纪的巴列姆阶。由于过去对化石的错误鉴定，装甲龙目前的资料不多。在1980年代末至1990年代初，有学者将牠归类为多刺甲龙的异名，但最近的研究则接受牠为一个资料不足的有效属。牠是以罗马帝国的方阵步兵（Hoplite）为名。
历史及分类
在1898年，N·H·达顿（N. H. Darton）在南达科他州的布法罗裂口车站附近发现这些化石。正模标本（编号USNM 4752）包括：肋骨、尾椎、部分右肩胛骨喙突、两边肱骨的部分、右股骨、及多块鳞甲与尖刺[1][2]。在1901年，弗雷德里克·卢卡斯（Frederick Lucas）简略地描述这个标本时，将化石归类为剑龙的一个新种，马氏剑龙（Stegosaurus marshi）。在1902年，卢卡斯将这个种独立为新属，模式种是马氏装甲龙（H. marshi）[3]。在1914年，查尔斯·惠特尼·吉尔摩完整地描述了这个标本[2]。
威廉·T·布洛斯（William T. Blows）[4]和哈维尔·佩雷达-苏韦维奥拉（Javier Pereda-Suberbiola）[5][6]都主张装甲龙是与多刺甲龙是相同的动物，并将装甲龙归类于多刺甲龙的一种，成为马氏多刺甲龙（Polacanthus marshii），但这个论点后来遭到推翻[7]。肯尼思·卡彭特（Kenneth Carpenter）及詹姆斯·柯克兰（James Kirkland）认为武装龙与多刺甲龙的许多类似处，其实是甲龙亚目的祖征，或是根据骨头的破损地方而设立的，例如股骨特征[7]。
1901年，卢卡斯首先发现装甲龙与多刺甲龙的相似性[1]，两者最类似的是其鳞甲，不过装甲龙却没有多刺甲龙的荐骨鳞甲[7]。目前牠们都被分类在甲龙亚目的多刺甲龙亚科或多刺甲龙科[8]（视乎分类条件，可参看例子[1]（页面存档备份，存于互联网档案馆）），或甲龙亚目中的分类不明属[9]。
另有研究指出装甲龙及多刺甲龙都有尾锤，但这是错误鉴定的结果。以多刺甲龙为例，牠们具有尾椎、骨化筋键及装甲，但被错误鉴定成尾锤[7]。
古生物学
查尔斯·惠特尼·吉尔摩估计装甲龙臀部约有1.2米高[2]，是四足植食性的恐龙，以低矮植物为食物。装甲是牠主要的防御特征[9]。
在2001年，威廉·T·布洛斯得到关于多刺甲龙亚科的新资料后，重新评估了装甲龙的装甲，并发现它可分为以下几类[10]：
- 肩膀尖刺。
- 身体两侧尖刺。
- 位于荐骨位置的尖刺及鳞甲。
- 高、不对称及基部中空的尾巴装甲。
- 不同大小的基部实心、具棱脊的小鳞甲。
