薯蓣目（学名：Dioscoreales）在现代的植物分类系统（例如：被子植物种系发生学组及被子植物亲缘分类网等）是被子植物单子叶植物的一目。同属类百合单子叶植物，本目物种与露兜树目物种是姐妹群关系。
分类
[编辑]1981年的克郎奎斯特系统并没有这一目，薯蓣科被归类于百合目。而1998年根据亲缘关系分类的APG 分类法中承认了这一目，包括五个科，后来在2003年经过修订的APG II 分类法中，调整合并为只包括三个科[5][6]：

分布及栖息地
[编辑]本目物种分布于全球除南极洲以外的各大洲。这些物种主要分布于热带或亚热带，但有部分属于薯蓣科及纳茜菜科的物种见于欧洲及北美洲较凉快的区域。
如同其他单子叶植物，本目物种可在地底形成贮存营养的器官，只有水玉簪科例外。水玉簪科是一种菌异营腐生植物，其物种完全没有光合作用的能力。
