美国建国二百周年纪念活动（英语：United States Bicentennial）是美国在1970年代中期进行的一系列庆祝活动，以对美国革命的历史事件致敬。在《独立宣言》通过200周年之际，二百周年纪念活动于1976年7月4日星期日结束。
背景
[编辑]1966年7月4日，美国国会成立美国革命两百周年委员会，开始了建国两百周年纪念计划[1][2][3][4] 。最初，美国建国两百周年庆典预定以单独的城市博览会（Expo '76）进行，将在费城或波士顿举行博览会[5]。
1970年代

在华盛顿特区，史密森学会重现了1876年百年博览会的外观。史密森博物馆的许多文物可追溯到1876年在费城举行的世界博览会，以纪念美国独立100周年。史密森博物馆还于1976年7月1日开放了国家航空航天博物馆的新馆。
NASA预计使维京1号在7月4日降落在火星，但降落被推迟至7月20日，即阿波罗11号登月的周年纪念日。
