美国化学学会（英语：American Chemical Society，简称为ACS）是一个化学领域的专业组织。1876年于美国纽约大学成立，现有157,000位来自化学与化工界各个分支的会员，总部位于华盛顿哥伦比亚特区。美国化学会每年举行两次涵盖化学各方向的年会，并有许多规模稍小的专业研讨会。 美国化学会拥有许多期刊，其中《美国化学会志》已有125年历史。
历史
起源
1874年，一群美国化学家聚集在约瑟夫普里斯特利庄园，纪念普里斯特利发现氧气 100周年。虽然当时有一个美国科学学会（美国科学促进会，成立于1848年），但美国化学的发展促使那些聚集在一起考虑建立一个更加直接关注理论和应用的新社会。化学。两年后，即1876年4月6日，在纽约市大学（现为纽约大学）的化学家会议期间，美国化学学会成立。该社团于1877年获得了纽约州的公司章程。
