继室

继室，或称填房、后妻、继配、续弦，是指男子在元配妻子去世后再娶正室，[1]东亚传统制度中，继室虽然与元配同为正室，礼制上均等，但宗法上地位仍不及元配。为了区别，皇帝继室妻子会称为继后，国王或王爵继室妻子称为继妃。在某些地区、时代，容许在正室去世或离异后将妾立为继室，称为扶正。《左传》·昭公三年：“齐侯使晏婴请继室于晋。”《水浒传》·第98回：“那仇申颇有家赀，年已四旬，尚无子嗣，又值丧偶，续娶平遥县宋有烈女儿为继室。”
