红额金翅雀属（学名：Carduelis）是雀形目燕雀科下的一个属。[2]本属物种分布于欧洲地区，目前下属3个物种。[2]
命名历史
本属为法国动物学家马蒂兰·雅克·布里松于1847年建立。[3]其模式种经重名关系指定为卡尔·林奈命名的红额金翅雀。[1]其属名Carduelis来自林奈当时命名红额金翅雀的种加词，而该词即为红额金翅雀的拉丁语名称。[4]
