命名历史
本属由英国动物学家爱德华·布莱思于1852年描述。[4][5]其模式种指定为Ardea javanica，现为绿鹭下的一个亚种。[1][3]其属名Butorides来自威廉·约翰·斯温森原先给予大麻𫛚的学名Butor minor（该属名现为异名），加上古希腊语的-ειδής（罗马化：-oīdēs，意指“相似的”）。[6][7]
