红娘

红娘，出自于唐代元稹的《莺莺传》，成名于元代王实甫的《西厢记》，是凑合张珙与崔莺莺的婢女。

红娘最早是《莺莺传》中崔莺莺的侍婢，虽有其名，但角色并不重要。王实甫在董解元《西厢记诸宫调》的基础上创作《西厢记》，并将红娘的角色提升到崔莺莺之上。

《西厢记》中，张生由衷感激红娘，说“小生久后多以金帛拜酬小娘子”；红娘怒斥张生：“先生的钱物，与红娘做赏赐，是我爱你的金货？”[1]后来“红娘”被引申为“媒人”一词，甚至出现了以“红娘”一词命名的电视交友节目《我爱红娘》。
