米索前列醇（Misoprostol），常见商品名为Cytotec，是一种人工合成的PGE1药物[1]。用于加速分娩、流产、预防或治疗胃溃疡，或治疗因为子宫收缩不足所造成的产后出血[1]。 如果用于流产，常常会搭配美服培酮（mifepristone）或是氨甲蝶呤（methotrexate）使用[2]。 单独使用米索前列醇的成功率介于66%到90%之间[3]。 可置于双颊、舌下或是以阴道塞剂的方式给予[2][4]。
常见的副作用包括腹痛与腹泻[1]。妊娠期间用药会对胎儿带来负面影响，怀孕分级为X级[1] 。使用此药物，会造成子宫收缩，偶见甚至造成子宫破裂[1]。
米索前列醇于1973年开发完成[5]。米索前列醇是世界卫生组织基本药物标准清单的其中之一，意即在基本医疗卫生制度里非常需要、也相当重要的一项药物[6]。 目前已有学名药上市[1]。在发展中国家，每剂药物批发价介于0.36美金到2美金[7]。 在美国使用米索前列醇用于治疗胃溃疡，每个月需要花费100到200美金[8]。
