米友仁（1074年—1151年），一名尹仁，字元晖，小名寅哥、鳌儿，祖籍太原，后迁襄阳，南宋书画家。黄庭坚戏称其为“虎儿”。书画家米芾长子。书法绘画皆承家学，父子皆称绝一世，故称“大小米”。
宋神宗熙宁七年甲寅（1074年）出生。[1]崇宁三年（1104年）其父进友仁的《楚山清晓图》，徽宗赐御书画各一卷，遂以擅长书画知名，徽宗宣和四年（1123年）入掌书学，宋室南渡后，流寓于溧阳、平江，官至提举两浙西路茶盐公事、工部侍郎。绍兴二十一年辛未（1151年），召为兵部侍郎，以敷文阁待制提举神祐观奉朝请，不久卒，享年七十八岁。[2]
米友仁精于鉴别，宋高宗每得书画名迹，均请他鉴定。《古今画鉴》说他：“能守家学，作山水清致可掬，亦略变其尊人所为，成一家法，烟云变灭，林泉点缀，生意无穷。小米山水，点缀云烟，草草而成，不失天真风气，肖乃翁也。”他的写生题材多为烟雾弥漫的江南山水，叫作“墨戏”，其山水画扩张了米芾技法：“略变其尊人所为，成一家法。”明代董其昌曾携友仁《潇湘奇观图》游洞庭湖，惊叹说：“舟次斜阳，篷底一望空润，长天云物，怪怪奇奇，一幅米家墨戏也。”
- ^ 翁方纲《米海岳年谱》附考云:“米公二子，友仁原名尹仁友知原名尹知，其手柬云：二十岁能书之子者，篕友知也。自癸未以前计二十余年，未知友知生于某年，而米帖家书付寅孙，即寅哥，是友仁小名。又小字虎儿，故山谷诗，虎儿笔力能扛鼎，教子元晖继阿章，盖生于寅岁，故以寅为小名。由此考之，友仁当生于熙宁七年甲寅也。”吴荣光《石云山人文集》卷五《米元晖云山得意图跋》云：“元晖生于熙宁甲寅，故小名虎儿，……元晖卒于绍兴十五年乙亥，年八十二。”
- ^ 米友仁的生卒年有多种说法，李心传著《建炎以来系年要录》卷一百六十二云：“绍兴二十有一年，庚子，敷文阁直学士提举佑神观米友仁卒。”唐圭璋《宋词四考》中云：“米友仁字元晖，芾子，生于熙宁五年。仕至敷文阁直学士。绍兴二十一年卒（一〇七二——一一五一）”目前学界多引郭味渠《宋元明清书画家年表》一书于一〇八六条下云:“丙寅元祐元年（1086）米友仁（元晖）生” ，一一六五年条下又云：“乙酉乾道元年（1165）米友仁（元晖）卒，年八十。”孙祖白《米芾米友仁》、俞剑华编《中国美术家人名词典》皆同上。
