彼特·保罗·蒙哥马利·布蒂吉格（英语：Peter Paul Montgomery Buttigieg，/ˈbuːtəˌdʒɛdʒ/；1982年1月19日—），美国民主党籍政治人物，现任美国运输部长，曾担任印第安纳州南本德市市长，丈夫是名中学教师。[3]2020年12月，即将上台的民主党籍总统乔·拜登宣布提名布蒂吉格出任新政府的运输部长，[4]隔年2月2日，参议院经投票确认程序通过对布蒂吉格的人事任命，使其正式就任，成为美国历史上第一位公开LGBTQ族群身份的内阁首长。[5]
生平
[编辑]布蒂吉格出生于印第安纳州南本德，其父母约瑟夫·布蒂吉格（Joseph Buttigieg）与珍妮佛·安妮·蒙哥马利（Jennifer Anne Montgomery）皆为圣母大学教授。[6]2004年，他以极优等（magna cum laude）成绩毕业于哈佛大学，获历史与文学学士学位[7]。2005年夏天，布蒂吉格在突尼斯学习了阿拉伯语[8]。此后他以罗德学者身份赴英国留学，2007年获牛津大学彭布罗克学院哲学、政治学及经济学文学学士学位。[7][9]
2009年起，布蒂吉格出任美国海军预备役情报官。2011年11月，他当选家乡南本德的市长[10]，当时年仅29岁的布蒂吉格成为了10万人口以上的美国城市中最年轻的市长。[10][11]2014年，他曾作为海军上尉赴阿富汗服役。[12]2015年，他公开出柜。[13]同年，再度当选南本德市长。[14]2018年6月，他与中学教师查斯坦·格雷斯曼（Chasten Glezman, 1989年6月23日-）[15]结婚。[16]

个人生活
[编辑]布蒂吉格是基督徒[21][22]，他认为信仰对他的生活有很大的影响[23][24][25]。他在婴儿时期就在天主教堂受洗，并就读天主教学校[22]。在牛津大学期间，他常去基督堂座堂，回到南本德后，他觉得自己“或多或少是圣公宗教派”[26][27][28]。
除了母语英语以外，他也会说一些挪威语、西班牙语、意大利语、马耳他语、阿拉伯语、达里语和法语[29][30]。他会弹吉他和钢琴[31][32]，并于2013年在南本德交响乐团的演出中，客串钢琴独奏，与本·佛德斯一同演出[33][34]。他也是2014年阿斯彭研究所的研究员（Rodel Fellow）[35]。
2015年6月，在南本德论坛报的一篇文章中，他公开出柜，是一名男同性恋者[36][37][38]。他成为印第安纳州第一位当选的有男同性恋身份的行政人员。他是印第安纳州第一位于在任期间出柜的民选官员[39]，也是印第安纳州出柜的民选官员中职位最高的[38]。他也是民主党第一位男同性恋的总统候选人，而在所有总统候选人当中，是继2012竞选的共和党籍弗雷德·卡格后的第二位[40]。
