皮卡迪利街
皮卡迪利街（英语：Piccadilly）是英国伦敦的一条主要街道，西到海德公园角，东到皮卡迪利圆环。皮卡迪利街完全属于威斯敏斯特市。这条街是A4公路的一部分，伦敦西部第二个最重要的交通动脉，伦敦地铁的干线皮卡迪利线便通过此路底下，并因此得名。皮卡迪利街东段的南侧是圣詹姆斯区，而皮卡迪利街的西段只有北侧建起了房屋，南侧是格林公园。皮卡迪利街的北侧是梅费尔区。
在皮卡迪利街上，有福南梅森食品店、皇家学院、伦敦丽兹酒店和哈查尔兹书店（Hatchards）。 辛普森（Simpsons）曾经位居英国最好的服装店之列，20世纪30年代开设在皮卡迪利街。这个店在1999年关闭，原址现在是水石书店的旗舰店。这个地区拥有许多热门的夜总会，包括摄政街独家的“纸”（Paper）夜总会，和莱斯特广场好客的“声音”（Sound）夜总会。
历史
皮卡迪利街已有几个世纪的历史，但是没有证据显示它曾被用作罗马道路[1]。在中世纪，它曾被唤作“通往雷丁的道路”（the road to Reading）或“由科恩布鲁克而来的路”（the way from Colnbrook）[2]。在都铎时期，沿路两旁建筑开始蓬勃起来，由于卫生环境欠佳，当局曾经出手干预，下令禁止发展，奈何房地产炒卖炽热，市民都对新政视若无睹[3]。
1559-60年间，英国女王伊丽莎白一世将皮卡迪利街附近的土地赐予威廉·多丁顿（William Dodington），一年多后售予一酿酒商，之后辗转落入一位名为罗伯特·贝克（Robert Baker）的裁缝手中[3] 。贝克以制造及售卖皮卡地里（Piccadill）款式的衣领发迹，街道亦因而得名。
