电致发光亦称电场发光(Electroluminescence,EL),是指电流通过物质时或物质处于强电场发光的现象,在消费品生产中有时被称为冷光。电致发光物料有:掺杂了铜和银的硫化锌、蓝色钻石(含)、砷化镓等。目前电致发光的研究方向主要为有机材料的应用,已有的应用为电致发光显示器(ELD)。
