珠穆朗玛南峰（英语：South Summit of Mount Everest）是珠穆朗玛峰的一个副峰。虽然它的海拔高度为 8749米，高过海拔 8611 米的世界第二高峰乔戈里峰，不过，由于它的相对高度只有11米（粗略地测量它与相邻等高线的高度差），因此，虽然海拔高度是世界第二，但它并不被承认是独立的“山”，而只是珠穆朗玛峰的一个副峰。
珠穆朗玛南峰的山顶是冰雪圆顶形峰，并经由Cornice Traverse与希拉里台阶连接珠穆朗玛主峰峰顶。1953年5月26日，1953年英国珠峰探险队的 Charles Evans与Tom Bourdillon首次攀爬珠穆朗玛南峰。[1][2] 但是，这队人马并没有成功抵达主峰。而同梯的第二队人马：艾德蒙·希拉里与丹增诺盖则成功成为世上第一组登上珠穆朗玛峰的队伍。南峰与主峰的距离约只有130米。
而在1965年印度珠峰远征队中的一名地质学家，在珠穆朗玛南峰上约100英尺处发现有贝壳化石沉积的石灰岩层。这次登山队总共有九人成功登顶。 [3]
1978年，登山家莱茵霍尔德·梅斯纳尔 在形容他首次不倚靠氧气瓶登上喜马拉雅山的挑战时，就以“着实是个重要的里程碑”描述他在珠穆朗玛南峰的经验。[4]
在1996年珠穆朗玛峰事故中，登山向导罗布‧霍尔与其他三名登山者，在从主峰下山途中，遇到意料之外的暴风雪而在此丧生。霍尔撑过了遇难的第一晚，并在第二天有联络到无线电，但在第二天（1996年5月11日）不幸冻死。而他的遗体仍然留在珠穆朗玛南峰。[5][6]
