沃克维尔公司市镇（英语：Corporation of the Town of Walkerville），又称沃克维尔镇（英语：Town of Walkerville）是南澳大利亚州面积最小的地方政府区域，位于阿德莱德市之西北。沃克维尔镇居民是南澳大利亚州最高收入的一群，[3]故又被称为“南澳大利亚州最富裕邮政编号”。[4]
沃克维尔镇议会由一名市长及八名议员组成。
历史
[编辑]1855年7月5日，沃克维尔区议会（英语：District Council of Walkerville）按当地居民意愿成立，脱离自1853年成立的油泰来区议会。[5][6]最初，沃克维尔区议会只包括沃克维尔及吉尔伯顿，几个月后扩张至同样从油泰来区议会脱离的密甸地以及沃克维尔北部（现归入沃克维尔）。直至1970年，谷格脱离恩埠市，纳入沃克维尔范围。
早期区议会在沃克维尔一间名为Sussex Arms的酒吧举行。1893年，议事堂搬迁至位于吉尔伯顿沃克维尔台（英语：Walkerville Terrace）的沃克维尔大会堂（英语：Walkerville Town Hall）。1944年10月1日，沃克维尔区升格为公司市镇，更名为沃克维尔镇。[7]

In April 1855, Walkerville ratepayers petitioned to allow a very large part of Yatala to be created as a separate District of Walkerville; the size of the division was opposed by other ratepayers, and on 5 July 1855 a much smaller DC of Walkerville was proclaimed, although it gained additional portions of Yatala District on 1 November 1855 and on 21 April 1859.
