犹太百科全书 (1971年)

犹太百科全书（Encyclopaedia Judaica），是犹太人和犹太教的英语百科全书，共分26册。内容涵盖了犹太世界、文明、犹太人的历史、文化、犹太教节日、希伯来文、摩西五经、哈拉卡等等。

历史

犹太百科全书在1971年至1972年间出版，当时共有16册。负责出版的是耶路撒冷的Keter Publishing House和纽约的麦克米伦。

1972年至1994年，十本年鉴被收录为1973-1982年度大事表补充和1983-1992年度大事表补充。三册已经多达1500万字，逾2万5千个条目。

它的总编辑就是塞西尔·罗斯（Cecil Roth）和Geoffrey Wigoder。全书集合了全球250名编辑和2200位贡献人士花了三十年的研究成果。

俄语版本在1970年代出版，是犹太百科全书没有删减的翻译版本。到了2005年，差不多成了独立版本，包括了11册，3册补充，并且让读者网上浏览。（eleven.co.il （页面存档备份，存于互联网档案馆）)
