焚化炉
焚化炉，即一种火炉，是以高温燃烧作用火化分解焚化垃圾等物体，成为炭、碳、水蒸气、二氧化碳、二氧化氮、二氧化硫、臭氧、一氧化碳、二𫫇英及其他无法燃烧分解的固体等。以减少垃圾所占空间、避免滋生细菌及发出异味。
焚化炉运作时产生的热能可供发电、供暖，有些焚化炉会附设游泳池，冬天时以热能加温池水。
