巨大韦氏鸟（学名：Wellnhoferia grandis，误译为乌禾尔龙）是一属史前鸟类，是始祖鸟的近亲。牠生存于侏罗纪晚期的德国。若乌禾尔龙像始祖鸟，牠会有一条短尾巴，而第四趾比始祖鸟较短。波兰弗罗茨瓦夫大学的Andrzej Elżanowski指这些分别是因系统发生的缩小，而非个别性的差异。[1]
韦氏鸟的模式种其实是始祖鸟的索伦霍芬标本（编号BSP 1999）。这个标本是于1960年代在德国近爱希施泰特发现，并于1988年由彼得·沃尔赫费尔（Peter Wellnhofer）描述成始祖鸟的其中一个标本。它现时被放置在索伦霍芬的市长穆乐博物馆内。最初牠被一业余古生物学家分类成美颌龙。
虽然Elżanowski发现了韦氏鸟及始祖鸟的明显分别，但杰拉尔德·梅尔（Gerald Mayr）等人的研究指出韦氏鸟其实是印石板始祖鸟的一个标本。[2]Phil Senter及James Robins于2003年却支持Elżanowski新属的建议。[3]
