系统学问题
由于灯蛾亚科旗下的物种非常多，有学者认为应该把本亚科的系统学研究修订，并作重新归类。现时很多属于蜂蛾亚科(Ctenuchinae)及Pericopinae的物种都因为历史原因而被归入本亚科。这些物种都应该要慢慢移归牠们正确的分类去。
