消耗电量模式
消耗电量模式（Charge-depleting）也称为EV模式，是电动汽车或混合动力车运作的一种模式，其车辆运作能源是依电池组所提供。纯电动车都是在此一模式下运作，插电式混合动力车在启动后会进入此一模式，一直到电池的电量状态进入下限，才会切换到保持电量（charge-sustaining）模式。车辆在消耗电量模式可以行驶的里程即为全电里程（AER）。目前在技术标准上还没有强制要求全电里程的最短距离，但未来各国的法规可能会有对应的要求。
若是混合动力车，还有另一种消耗电量的策略，是混合动力模式，是指在中载到重载时用发动机补充电动机的动力输出。此一策略下，没有纯电动模式，国家可再生能源实验室（NREL）早期的模拟指出，此方式省油的程度和传统插电式混合动力车的充放电策略差不多。混合动力模式的好处是让汽车设计者可以选用较小（也较便宜）的电池组以及牵引电动机[1]。
