毛瑟C78“锯齿”型转轮手枪是一款由德国毛瑟公司在19世纪末研发和生产的单动式转轮手枪。它的口径分别由6 mm至11 mm不等，并有一个6发弹巢作供弹。它的名称“锯齿”来源于其弹巢上的锯齿形坑纹。
历史

初期型的C78“锯齿”型转轮手枪并不是中折式的，而是装有一体化的钢框，装填则须使用装填窗。之后， 它被改装用作参加德国在1879年举行的军械测试，目的是找出德国第一款可取代旧式针式底火，使用黄铜弹药的转轮手枪。[1] 尽管改装型在测试中表现颇佳，但却因为结构过于复杂而未有大量生产。 这是保罗·毛瑟设计的第一款手枪。[2]
随后，毛瑟为此枪增加了中折式和摆式弹巢的设计。同时，一款装有枪托，但没有中折式设计的卡宾枪改型也被推出。在1886年，毛瑟推出了一款9 mm口径的衍生型。[3]
1896年，德军开始汰换C78型手枪，并采用半自动的毛瑟C96手枪作为制式手枪。但仍不少旧有的C78转轮手枪被用于第一次世界大战。[4]
