欧洲河马（学名：Hippopotamus antiquus）是分布在欧洲的河马，于更新世末的冰河时期灭绝。牠们分布在伊比利亚半岛、不列颠群岛、莱茵河至希腊。[2]
欧洲河马在体型及形态上像惧河马，但比普通河马较大。欧洲河马相信首先于1800万年前出现。虽然普通河马在更新世中期亦曾在欧洲生活，但却不认为是属于欧洲河马。[3]
克里特侏儒河马相信是从欧洲河马演化而来，并在克里特因岛屿侏儒化而成形。
