樱井纯(英语:Jun John Sakurai,日语:桜井 純,1933年1月31日—1982年11月1日),日裔美籍理论粒子物理学家,著有多本量子力学研究生教材。其中,《Modern Quantum Mechanics》更成为量子力学课程的经典研究生教材。

生平

樱井纯于1933年出生于日本东京,于1955年自哈佛大学取得学士学位,并于1958年自康乃尔大学取得博士学位。于芝加哥大学担任助理教授后,自1970年起在加州大学洛杉矶分校担任教授。于1982年,在瑞士日内瓦欧洲核子研究组织担任访问教授时逝世,当时其著作《Modern Quantum Mechanics》尚未完成,其后由夏威夷大学的段三复(San Fu Tuan)教授续编完成。
