棉纸

棉纸，一种传统的手工纸，常用于撕画、水墨画及书法等，也可用于包装。最早起源于中国，后流传到日本、韩国等周边国家。

概论

因为其质地洁白，如同棉花，撕开后纤维如同棉丝，因此得名。质地较宣纸粗糙，也较坚韧。其制造原料以雁皮、构树皮（楮皮）、三桠为主，还会混入木浆、稻草等。

产地

台湾

在台湾，棉纸主要制造中心在南投县埔里。在日治时期，于1935年，聘请日籍技师，设立了埔里造纸所。
