梅福

梅福，字子真，九江寿春人，西汉末年时的南昌县尉，相传王莽时隐居修道而成仙。宋高宗绍兴二年（公元1132年），梅福被赐封为“吏隐真人”。

年轻时求学于长安，通解《书经》、《穀梁传》等，汉成帝时，王莽推行新政，梅福上书朝廷以抨击新政及王莽的篡权野心。王莽篡权后，梅福弃官而去，隐居于南昌西郊飞鸿山和南郊梅湖一带。

纪念

为纪念梅福的崇高气节，飞鸿山被改称为梅岭，山顶还建有“梅仙亭”。汉代初年开辟古驿道。古豫章十景就有“西山积翠”、“洪崖丹井”、“铁柱仙踪”三景在梅岭。

相传梅福曾在浙江普陀山隐居，故普陀山自西汉至宋代时叫梅岑山。
