李维·斯特劳斯（Levi Strauss /ˌliːvaɪ ˈstraʊs/，出生名是Löb Strauß 德语：[løːp ˈʃtʁaʊs]；1829年2月26日—1902年9月26日）是一位美籍德国犹太人，1853年在美国旧金山创立了牛仔裤生产公司李维斯。[1][2]
生平
1829年2月26日，李维·斯特劳斯出生于巴伐利亚王国布滕海姆的一个犹太人家庭[3]。他是其父赫希·斯特劳斯（Hirsch Strauss）和第二任妻子丽贝卡·斯特劳斯（Rebecca Strauss）之子[4]。18岁时他同母亲及两个姐妹一起前往美国与他的兄弟乔纳斯和路易斯见面，后者在纽约市开了一家叫做J·斯特劳斯兄弟（J. Strauss Brother & Co）的布匹批发店[5]。
李维·斯特劳斯的姐妹芬妮和她的丈夫大卫·斯特恩（David Stern）搬到圣路易斯居住，而斯特劳斯本人则选择住在肯塔基州路易维尔并在该州经营他兄弟的布匹生意[6]。1853年1月，李维·路易斯成为美国公民[7]。
因为加利福尼亚淘金潮的出现，兄弟几人决定在美国西海岸的旧金山开设布匹店分店。李维·斯特劳斯决定自己前往，并于1853年3月抵达旧金山[8]。
斯特劳斯的布匹店起名为Levi Strauss & Co.，从纽约的布匹店那里进口衣服、床上用品、梳子、钱包和手绢等产品。此时他与芬妮的家庭一起生活[9]。
雅各布·W·戴维斯是斯特劳斯的一名客户，他发明了世界上第一条铆钉粗布斜纹裤，这就是后来李维·斯特劳斯店里出品的蓝色牛仔裤。二人在1873年为这种新式裤子申请了专利[10]。
逝世
1902年9月26日，李维·斯特劳斯在旧金山去世。一生中从未结婚，因而财产也交给了芬妮家的四个外甥雅各布、西格蒙德、路易斯和亚伯拉罕·斯特恩。他还将遗产的一部分赠给了数家慈善机构，当时其资产估计有六百万美元[11]（合今$211,292,308）。他的遗体埋葬在加利福尼亚州科尔马。
遗产
德国布滕海姆有一个李维·斯特劳斯博物馆，即坐落在其生前居所。在旧金山的Levi Strauss & Co.总部有一个游客中心也展出着他的遗物。1879年他还创立过李维·斯特劳斯基金，1897年曾给加州大学伯克利分校提供捐助[12]。
