本杰明·卢因（英语：Benjamin Lewin，1950年—）是《细胞》期刊的创办者[1]，以及分子生物学教材《基因》的作者[2]。他以在短时间内将《细胞》打造成为与《科学》及《自然》齐名的重要期刊而闻名于世。[3][4]
个人经历
[编辑]卢因在剑桥大学获得了文科硕士(MA)和博士(PhD)学位，又在伦敦大学获得了理学硕士(MSc)学位。在萨塞克斯大学担任了一段时间讲师后，他成为了《自然》杂志的编辑。他随后又到美国国立卫生研究院工作。在那里工作的同时，他开始萌生创立一个综合性的细胞生物学期刊的想法。[5] 他于1974年创立《细胞》杂志，并由麻省理工学院出版社出版发行。1986年，他完全照搬杂志的标题(bought the title outright)，建立了自己的出版公司，起名为“细胞出版社”。卢因也是广为畅销的分子生物学系列教材《基因》的作者，这本书由Jones & Bartlett Learning公司出版发行，已出版到第12版(2017)。在1999年的时候，他把细胞出版社转手卖给了爱思唯尔出版公司。
卢因也是一名葡萄酒大师，并发表了大量的相关主题文章或读物。他定期给《The World of Fine Wine》和《醇鉴》杂志投稿，同时写了不少相关主题书籍。
