望气

一种古代的占候方法。由观望云气（云彩、光晕、光环、华、虹霓等光学现象）而知道人事吉凶的征兆。《史记．卷一○．孝文本纪》：“赵人新垣平以望气见，因说上设立渭阳五庙。”也作“候气”[1]。周礼记载有“视祲”之官，掌十辉之法，观妖祥辨吉凶，即是指望气。
