晦日

晦，指朔的前一天。在地球上几乎看不到月亮。农历将晦日定为每月的最后一天，因此可能是廿九或三十日。一年最后一天（除夕）又称大晦日。

和历经过改革后，也将此用法用于阳历上每月最后一天，所以日本看不到月亮的说法将不再适用于此历法。

出处

《公羊传．僖公十六年》：“何以不日？晦日也。”

《儒林外史．第四三回》：“晦日用兵，兵法所忌。”

南宋杨万里《三月晦日游越王台》：

榕树梢头访古台，下看碧海一琼杯。
越王歌舞春风处，今日替风独自来。
