斐济美人鱼
斐济美人鱼是一具由风干的幼猴上半身与鱼下半身缝合而成的木乃伊伪标本。鱼鳞上黏有动物毛，胸部长著下垂乳房，并做出张嘴露牙，右手紧贴右脸颊，左手撑著下巴的动作。[1]它是美国马戏团开创者P.T.巴纳姆的众多骗局之一，他向观众谎称该美人鱼是在南太平洋斐济附近海域捕获的。[2]
1842年，巴纳姆曾在纽约巴纳姆美国珍奇博馆展出斐济美人鱼原件，其后也制作许多复制品与变体，以相同的名义展出。[3]然而原件现已佚失，很可能与巴纳姆的其他收藏一样毁于火灾。[4]
