拉丁学校

拉丁学校是14世纪至19世纪流行于欧洲的一种语法学校，其教学重点在学习拉丁文的语法及其运用（这是三艺和博雅教育的基础）。它并非仅招收贵族子弟，很多中产阶级家庭也会把拉丁学校作为晋升之阶，这在他们寻求教会的工作时尤其重要^[1]。后来由于本国语言地位的提升，拉丁学校渐渐消失。^[2]

拉丁学校的教材主要是古典和部分中世纪作者的作品（大多为寓言和诗歌）。学生们要学会“Ars Dictaminis”的原则，即如何写作正式的信件^[3]。
