打石湖村是位于香港新界元朗区八乡的原居民村落，居民主要为张氏与宋氏之客家人。

宋张两氏百多年前由嘉应五华迁来宝安，最先于南大刀屻向西山坡牛牯角立村搭茅寮而居（落担者字派为“达”），后人丁繁衍，且山上耕地不足，宋张两氏经商讨后，遂决定沿担水坑举村迁到今晡日（客家话：今天）之打石湖新村，张氏更分支到八乡河背附近的大窝、莲花地；另外宋氏分支到位于蕉径河谷附近现之莲塘尾村定居，与同样先祖两百年前来自嘉应五华之长坜村（沙头角凹下村分支）魏氏客家村民隔双鱼河为毗邻相望。[1]
