爱尔兰轨距宽1600毫米,主要用于澳大利亚维多利亚州南澳大利亚州巴西以及爱尔兰。

命名

  • 爱尔兰英国将该轨距称为爱尔兰轨距[1][2][3]。而在爱尔兰有时也称标准轨,以区别岛上914毫米轨距的铁路。
  • 在澳大利亚,维多利亚州和南澳大利亚州,以及19世纪的塔斯曼尼亚州又称宽轨[4]:168
  • 在西西,该轨距直接称为宽轨,但有时也被称为爱尔兰轨距。
