命名

  • 爱尔兰及英国将该轨距称为爱尔兰轨距[1][2][3]。而在爱尔兰有时也称标准轨，以区别岛上914毫米轨距的铁路。
  • 在澳大利亚，维多利亚州和南澳大利亚州，以及19世纪的塔斯曼尼亚州又称宽轨[4]:168。
  • 在西西，该轨距直接称为宽轨，但有时也被称为爱尔兰轨距。
